Mt. Joy is an American indie rock band that has quickly made a name for itself with its vibrant blend of folk-rock and alternative indie sounds. Hailing originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the band’s formation came about when longtime friends Matt Quinn (vocals, guitar) and Sam Cooper (guitar) reconnected in Los Angeles, where they began writing music together. They were soon joined by Michael Byrnes (bass), Sotiris Eliopoulos (drums), and Jackie Miclau (keyboard), rounding out the ensemble.

Musical Influences: Mt. Joy’s music seamlessly combines elements of classic rock, modern indie, folk, and touches of psychedelic flair. Their influences range from Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell to newer indie bands like The Lumineers and Alabama Shakes, presenting a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh.
